This family of lamps includes the desk and wall versions as well as the floor version to be used as reading lamp. The structure of the two arms is made of extruded aluminum. The movement is balanced by the elastic cable, sheathed in synthetic coloured fabric. The base of the table and floor lamps is made of aluminium, with cast iron ballast. The adjustable head, made of moulded plastic, is easy to handle thanks to the central hole. The touch–
sensitive switch controls a LED light source. In the String DTW version, a new LED dim–to–warm electronic technology has been used. The switch placed in the lamp’s head controls light quality and adjusts, according to activity performed and time of use, the light’s luminosity and correlated colour temperature, from 2500K (warm light) to 4000 K (cool light).
