Rotaliana Conventional Warranty
(Repair or Replacement Only)
1. Scope of Application
1.1 For the period following the legal warranty period for product conformity – a warranty provided directly by the seller – and up to 5 years from the date of purchase, Rotaliana S.r.l. provides consumers who have purchased new Rotaliana-branded products ("the Products") with a conventional warranty consisting of the replacement of defective Products and/or the repair of the same at no cost (hereinafter: "Rotaliana Warranty"). By activating the Rotaliana Warranty, consumers will therefore have a coverage period of 5 years from the date of purchase indicated on the purchase receipt.
1.2 The Rotaliana Warranty does not apply to products manufactured before December 2022.
2. Activation
2.1. To benefit from the Rotaliana Warranty, consumers must register the Product(s) within 2 months of the purchase date indicated on the purchase receipt by accessing the Rotaliana website at https://www.rotaliana.it/it/estensione-garanzia/ and completing the relevant activation form. The warranty is provided exclusively to the consumer who purchased the Product and requested its activation. It is therefore non-transferable to third parties.
2.2 Upon successful activation of the Rotaliana Warranty, Rotaliana will send the warranty certificate via email to the consumer. The certificate must be retained by the consumer for the entire duration of the warranty, as it is necessary documentation for claiming the Rotaliana Warranty.
3. Content
If, during the Rotaliana Warranty period, a malfunction occurs due to defective materials or workmanship, Rotaliana undertakes, at its expense and under the conditions set forth below, to repair the Product or replace it with a product of the same production series or a comparable successor product.
4. Rotaliana Warranty Period
The Rotaliana Warranty period begins after the expiration of the seller’s legal warranty for conformity defects and ends in all cases 5 years after the purchase date of the Product. The date on the purchase receipt will be considered the purchase date and will take precedence over the date indicated by the customer in the online registration form.
5. Conditions for Benefiting from the Rotaliana Warranty
The right to the Rotaliana Warranty exists only if the following conditions are met:
- The Product has been installed, wired, commissioned, and used in accordance with the technical specifications of the product and the instructions provided with it;
- The Product has been used by a consumer in a residential environment, not in a professional or industrial environment or within the scope of a professional activity;
- The Product has been wired, installed, and/or assembled by qualified personnel, except for portable lamps;
- Maximum allowable temperatures, voltages, and environmental humidity levels have not been exceeded, and the Product has not been exposed to mechanical loads incompatible with its intended use or to stresses caused by systematic vibrations in the installation environment;
- If it has been repaired, the Product must have been repaired in accordance with the instructions enclosed with the product by qualified technical personnel or not in accordance with the enclosed instructions;
- The Product for which the customer claims the Rotaliana Warranty must be retained by the customer in the same condition (including the light source) for the time necessary to allow Rotaliana to verify the reported defects/failures;
- The Product has been installed in a normal environment in terms of temperature, humidity, and ventilation, and has not been exposed to saline, chemical, polluting, particulate, and/or gaseous agents at the time of installation;
- Regarding electronic power supplies, the Product has been installed with lamps compliant with the applicable IEC standards in effect at the time of purchase.
6. Special Conditions Applicable to Power Supply Components and LED Light Source Products
Regarding power supply components and products with LED light sources, in addition to the conditions outlined in Article 5, the Rotaliana Warranty is valid only if:
- The maximum usage within 5 years from the purchase does not exceed 3,000 hours per year (equivalent to 8 hours of daily operation)
- In the event of a decrease in luminous flux, the flux remains above the value considered the industry standard, i.e., 0.6% per 1,000 service hours.
7. Exclusions
The Rotaliana Warranty does not apply to:
- Product malfunctions that are not attributable to a manufacturing process, caused by force majeure events (unpredictable events such as electrical surges, lightning strikes), or otherwise not attributable to Rotaliana (e.g., drops, impacts, dirt, liquids);
- Malfunction or non-conformity arising from improper use or violation of any applicable regulation, instruction manual, or maintenance guide, including but not limited to the most recent industrial and/or electrical safety standards relevant to the specific country;
- Defects consisting of a color shift in LED modules if the measured values comply with the technical specifications of the products;
- Power supply conditions, including power surges, over/under voltages, and waveform control systems other than those defined by reference standards.
Furthermore, the Rotaliana Warranty does not cover:
- Wearable parts such as light sources (excluding LEDs integrated into the product), batteries, mechanical components subject to wear, fans used for active heat dissipation in products with LED light sources (if functional), subjective evaluations of motor noise, software defects, bugs, or viruses affecting third-party products or services;
- inNatural aging of plastic parts such as polycarbonate and PMMA, as well as the finish or appearance of outdoor products due to natural exposure;
- Electronic components, power supplies, transformers, light bulbs, and products from other brands that Rotaliana distributes as commercial goods, along with lighting fixtures from other manufacturers.
8. Services covered by the Rotaliana Warranty
8.1 If the Rotaliana Warranty applies, Rotaliana will, at its discretion, repair the Product or replace it with an identical or equivalent product compatible with the technological advances made since the original product was manufactured.
8.2 If Rotaliana decides to replace the Product but is unable to do so due to its discontinuation or unavailability, Rotaliana will replace it with a similar product, provided the differences in design and specifications are minimal.
8.3 Replacement products or spare parts may contain new or refurbished materials equivalent to new products or their parts in terms of performance and reliability. The replacement product may slightly (within acceptable limits) differ from the original product in size and design. Rotaliana guarantees that replacement parts or products will be free from material or manufacturing defects for the remaining duration of the Rotaliana Warranty of the replaced Product.
8.5 In any event, all costs that go beyond those of mere replacement and/or repair of the Product are excluded from the guarantee and shall be borne by the consumer, such as, by way of example but not limited to, assembly and disassembly costs, disposal costs, costs for the use of lifting devices and scaffolding, costs for the installation of replacement products, transport of the defective product and the repaired or replaced product. These costs shall be borne exclusively by the consumer.
8.6 The replaced Products shall become the property of Rotaliana and shall not be returned to the customer.
8.7 This Rotaliana Warranty is the only warranty provided by Rotaliana to the consumer on the Product, with the express exclusion of all other warranties and liability (both contractual and non-contractual) in any way arising from the Product (e.g. compensation for damage, loss of profit, etc...)
9. Warranty Claim
9.1 The Rotaliana Warranty claim must be submitted to Rotaliana electronically by accessing the dedicated page on the website https://www.rotaliana.it/it/estensione-garanzia/ within 30 days of discovering the defect. Submitting a warranty claim implies that Rotaliana may access the relevant product and/or verify its defectiveness. The warranty claim must include a copy of the purchase receipt as proof of purchase, the warranty certificate sent via email by Rotaliana confirming the warranty activation, and a detailed description of the defect, possibly including: name and code of the damaged Product (for systems, also include undamaged components), purchase and installation dates, a detailed problem description, the date the error occurred, its application, and the number of operating hours.
10. Rotaliana Warranty Information
10.1 This Warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer Rotaliana S.r.l. and complements the legal product conformity warranty provided directly by the seller to the consumer.
10.2 This warranty does not affect any consumer rights regarding free remedies for conformity defects, as provided by the applicable law governing the sales contract with the seller.

This warranty is subject exclusively to Italian law.
